Boat Down Rio Ucayali
We just had breakfast at the hotel and we are getting ready to take a trip down the Rio Ucayali. It sounds like its going to be a great adventure. Others have taken the trip and they said it was awesome. They had an opportunity to see sloths along the riverbank and anacondas at a "zoo" they visited. Scott, a leader of this trip, said we will have a chance to hold one while we are there. I'm not sure if I can build up enough courage to participate. I'll wait and see. I've already tried a lot of things on this trip. I've suprised myself!

Got to talk to Morgan this morning on Facebook...so excited to finally have some contact with her. Hoping you will call tonight or tomorrow. I think this trip for Morgan affirmed her calling. She is talking early graduation again to head down there. The "over-protective mom" part of me is really a bit freaked out by it, but the "I know we have done our job as parents" part of me knows we have to let her go wherever she is called whether we are ready or not.
ReplyDeleteAlthough you are a bit more adventurous than me (knowing full well I can't be called the least bit adventurous), you are still a relatively "play it safe" kind of guy, so I can't wait to hear about the things you did, ate, and saw.
